ARU College introduces students to The Collective
ARU College is delighted to introduce you to The Collective – a new network for ARU College students and staff who are passionate about developing and promoting extra-curricular activities and events.
Through collaboration and teamwork, The Collective will organise and facilitate a variety of programmes from skill-sharing and volunteering to employability enhancement. There will also be events featuring inspirational guest speakers from varying industries that interest ARU College.
The first initiative to be developed by The Collective is the Cultural Exchange Programme. This programme, which will be running throughout March, will see students become the teachers by drawing on their knowledge and cultural backgrounds to deliver lessons to fellow students and staff.
These sessions will be about much more than just language, instead looking to introduce attendees to different cultures and ways of life. Topics range from Spanish conversation and Japanese language to Italian cuisine and Russian literature.
Other events include discovering Romanian mythology, learning about the culture of East Timor, and even a session to help you better understand the confusing world of British accents!
All Cultural Exchange sessions will be held online and delivered by ARU College students. Classes are only available to current ARU College students.
