How to apply

Applying at ARU College

ARU College are able to accept EU and International students. (UK students wishing to study at the college must make their application via ARU – see the where to apply section of the website) Below are the steps you need to follow.

Step 1: Complete ARU College online application form on our website…

Attach supporting documents including your academic qualifications, English test results, personal statement and passport data page to ARU College (Certified translations must accompany documents that are not in English).

If you are unable to make an application via our website, please email admissions@arucollege.com and we will send you an interactive application form.

Step 2: Receive an offer of admission…

from ARU College via email within 24-48 hours (Standard application process for approved applications).

There are two types of offers:
Conditional: The Admissions team may need to see further documents from you before you can proceed with your admission. What they want will be listed on your conditional offer letter, please send them to the admissions team as soon as possible.
Unconditional: Congratulations, you are ready to move to step 3!

Should an applicant wish to appeal an admission decision, please contact admissions@arucollege.com for details regarding the required process.

Step 3: Accept the offer…

by paying the course fee deposit indicated on your offer of admission and returning a completed Acceptance form to ARU College (You can make payments via bank transfer, international bank draft, debit card or online)

EU students can apply for funding by completing the online Student Finance England application. Once this is completed please send us your CRN (Customer Reference Number) as part of your acceptance.

*Acceptance forms are attached to your unconditional offer letter

Step 4: Confirmation of Acceptance (CAS)

ARU College will provide you with the CAS that is required for your visa application once your place is fully confirmed.

Step 5: Arrange accommodation in Cambridge or Chelmsford…

ARU College can help organise suitable student accommodation. Demand is often high for the most popular accommodation, so make sure you arrange accommodation as soon as possible.

Step 6: Apply for your visa… (Not Applicable to EU students)

Full details on the visa application process can be found at ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/studyingintheuk. It is vitally important that you advise ARU College the date of your visa appointment. You must also notify ARU College once the outcome of your application is confirmed.

Step 7: Arrive

ARU College will help arrange transfer from the airport to your accommodation if needed, apply for airport transfer on the website. You should notify ARU College of your arrival details so that we can make these arrangements. You will be provided with a full orientation before enrolment.

The UK Government recently announced that many students will be interviewed as part of the student visa application process to provide further assurance that applicants granted a visa, do intend to study in the UK.
