ARU is rated TEF Gold for teaching and was voted the Times Higher Education (THE) University of the Year 2023. ARU College offer undergraduate and postgraduate pathways to a huge variety of fantastic degree courses at ARU. Our Cambridge campus is home to our Science Centre, a £45m Centre for research and study in psychology, life sciences, biomedical and forensic science. As well as the Cambridge School of Art which houses the Ruskin Gallery. Our modern Chelmsford campus is home to one of the largest business schools in the East of England, based in the award-winning Lord Ashcroft Building.

“Since I left my home country, Peru, getting to know different people cultures and traditions has been such an amazing adventure, at the start it was not easy to leave my life and my family but they always support me and encourage me to chase my dreams. This decision changed my whole lifestyle. My time at ARU College was really helpful for preparing me for university as I didn’t have any basis of architecture so it has helped me keep up with my assignments, with time management and to refresh myself a little bit about how to write essays. My favourite thing about my studies so far has been meeting people from different cultures and finding out that I have more in common with different people than I thought I did. Also, in our second year we did a trip to Barcelona which was a one-of-a-kind experience.”

Academic requirementsARU College’s International Foundation in Healthcare course has been developed for international students to provide a broad base of skills that can be useful to students as they progress through higher education and towards a career in Healthcare. During this Foundation, you will engage in modules such as Biology and Preparing for a Career in Caring and you will eventually be supported through the process of applying to BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult).

“Foundation is very good. I think it’s a very good idea because it prepares you a lot for the actual degree that you want to study. I always say it’s a very good option to come to the UK to study because you have a lot of opportunities here. My time at ARU College so far has been fun, hardworking, and very interesting. After graduation, I plan to go for my master’s degree and eventually become a Physician Assistant. My advice for international students is to come to ARU College, you will have the best time!”

To attain entry into the undergraduate or postgraduate pathway, you must be able to demonstrate you have a suitable level of English proficiency. The English requirement for all ARU College courses is: IELTS overall score of 5.5 (with at least 5.5 in each of the four components).
