UK students

ARU Bursary

What is it? Our ARU Bursary is open to undergraduate and integrated Masters students from the UK. It is also available to EU students starting a course in September 2022, and to those starting a course in the 2022/23 academic year who remain eligible for student finance. 

Who is it for? UK or EU students studying a full-time undergraduate or integrated Masters degree with ARU College.

How much is it worth? Up to £300 per year.

How do I apply? You’ll automatically receive our ARU Bursary if you meet the eligibility criteria and register as a student.

MBA Scholarship

Please note: ARU MBA Scholarship cannot be combined with the international early payment discount, or with any other scholarships.

Navitas family bursaries

Value

The bursary is equivalent to 10% of the tuition fee for up to 8 units of study within one program only with a Navitas member institution. The bursary does not apply to additional units or repeat units that may also be undertaken and excludes mixed English options.

Eligibility

  • The Family Bursary applies where two or more students from the same family* study at a Navitas institution. The first family member can be studying at a Navitas institution at the same time as the other family members or may have studied at any Navitas institution previously.
  • The family bursary is granted to the second and subsequent family members who study at a Navitas institution.
  • The bursary is equivalent to 10% of the tuition fee for one program only with a Navitas member institution. The bursary does not apply to additional units or repeat units that may also be undertaken.
  • For Diploma students, the bursary is equivalent to 10% of the tuition fees for the first attempt at units in the program of study† (excluding mixed English option).
  • For Certificate students, the bursary is equivalent to 10% of the tuition fee for the first attempt at units in the program of study (excluding mixed English options).
  • Students must pay the full amount for half their course as shown on their Letter of Offer in order to confirm their place at the Navitas Institution to which they have applied. If the student remains enrolled at the institution, at the end of the week 4 of their first semester, 10% of their tuition fee paid will be credited to the student. The balance of the bursary is credited to the eligible students’s tuition account in the second and subsequent semesters. (The amount credited will be calculated on the actual number of units studied).
  • The maximum value of the family bursary is 10% of the tuition fees for the first attempt of units in the program of study regardless of the number of family members who have studied with Navitas institutions.
  • A completed application must be submitted to the Navitas institution together with supporting documents such as a birth certificate or family card.
  • The General Manager or the Director Finance Administration will approve the award of a family bursary and authorise the accountant to process the relevant adjustments.

Definitions

*For the purpose of this bursary, a family member is defined as a brother, sister, stepsister, stepbrother, mother, father, son, daughter, stepchild, husband or wife.

Conditions

  • Some subject exclusions may apply.
  • The Navitas bursary is not applicable to English language program or any component of any English language program offered by Navitas member institutions.
  • Diploma programs may also be known or registered as Undergraduate pathway, University Transfer Program Stage II or University Pathways Program (UPP), First Year Degree
    (Stage 2). Certificate programs may also be known or registered a Foundation Studies, University Transfer Program Stage I or University Foundation (Stage 1).

Navitas member institutions

The Navitas bursary applies to students studying at BCUIC, Curtin College, Curtin Singapore, ARU College, Deakin College, Deakin College Jakarta, ECC, Eynesbury College, FIC, Griffith College, HIC, ICM, ICP, ICRGU, The College Swansea University, La Trobe College Australia, LBIC, NIC, UPIC, SAIBT, SIBT, UNIC, Twente Pathway College, The Hague Pathway College, University of Leicester GSC, Lancaster University Leipzig, Florida Atlantic University GSSP, Richard Bland College of William & Mary GSSP, University of Idaho GSSP, UMass Boston ISSP, UMass Dartmouth GSP, UMass Lowell GSSP, University of New Hampshire GSSP, Virginia Commonwealther University GSSP.

Application instructions

A completed application form must be submitted to the Navitas institution together with supporting documents, such as birth certificate, or family card. Application form can be obtained from the Navitas institution where the student has enrolled.

ARU College International Progression Scholarship

Students that are progressing from ARU College to their ARU course can take advantage of our special discount.

Eligibility

For ARU College student to be eligible for ARU International Progression Scholarship you must be:

  • a current international student with ARU College
  • successfully completed pathway programmes
  • studying full-time
  • starting ARU Year 2 or Year 3 of an undergraduate course, or joining the masters postgraduate degree.

There is no need to apply. This discount will be automatically applied.

 

Early Bird Discount May 2024

Accept your offer for May 2024 and pay your tuition fee deposit by Friday 1st March 2024 to receive your Early Bird Discount.

This discount comprises of a new student enrolment discount (£1,000 for undergraduate and £500 for postgraduate) and a progression scholarship (£500).

How is the discount applied:

  • £500 new student enrolment discount will be applied at the point of registration (Pre-masters students)
  • £1,000 new student enrolment discount will be applied in your second trimester (Foundation and First Year students)
  • £500 Progression scholarship will be applied at the point of progression to ARU (Pre-masters, First Year and Foundation students)

Eligibility criteria

•  Be a self-funded international student (only applicants who have been assessed as international fee payers can access this discount)
•  Hold an offer letter to study at ARU College for May 2024 entry and pay your tuition fee deposit (as outlined in your offer letter) before Friday 1st March 2024.
•  Have an offer to study a full-time pathway programme at ARU College (with the exclusion of Pre-Sessional English programmes).
•  Provide proof that the payment was made before the deadline.

Terms and conditions

• This discount comprises £500 new student enrolment discount (PG) or £1,000 new student enrolment discount (UG) and another £500 progression scholarship.
• For undergraduate offer holders, the new student enrolment discount will be applied to the second trimester of study at ARU College. For postgraduate offer holders, it will be applied to the pre-master’s trimester.
• The second part of this discount, the £500 progression scholarship, will be applied at the point of progression to ARU providing the student successfully completes the pathway programme at ARU College.
• This discount does not apply to students who have already accepted and paid the tuition fee deposit before Monday 15th January 2024.
• The discount cannot be combined with any other scholarship, discount or fee reductions.
•This discount does not apply to students who are sponsored by government/organisation/company.

Early Bird Discount September 2024

Accept your offer for September 2024 and pay your tuition fee deposit by Friday 28th June 2024 to receive your Early Bird Discount.
