Overview
ARU College is the partner college of Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), in Cambridge and Chelmsford. ARU is rated TEF Gold for teaching and was voted the Times Higher Education (THE) University of the Year 2023.
ARU College offer a Foundation Year pathway onto a huge variety of fantastic degree courses at ARU. A Foundation Year may be the right path for you if you do not have the correct grades or UCAS points for direct entry onto your chosen degree course. We provide more accessible entry criteria compared to direct university entry. If you have at least 5 GCSEs at grade 3 or above (equivalent to Grade E for those taken before 2017), along with proof of either two years of post-GCSE study or a minimum of two years of employment, then you may be eligible to pursue your desired degree through our Foundation Year program.
The Foundation Year is taught by ARU College teachers and tutors, however, you will be an ARU student with access to all the university facilities. You’ll enjoy smaller, more personalised classes with a blend of subject-specific modules and generic modules designed to hone the transferable skills crucial for university success.
